The comedian had been open and honest about her relationship and the news of their split came as a shock to many.
Who is Justin Hakuta?
Justin is an entrepreneur from a successful family. His father Ken Hakuta was a television personality and was known as Dr. Fad. Meanwhile, Justin’s mother, Marilou Cantiller worked at a global bank.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Hakuta graduated from Harvard Business School. He then worked in different companies while developing his skills.
In 2010, he became co-founder of Avacara. His last job indicates that he was employed as Vice President of Product for GoodRx.

Ali and Justin dated for a while before the couple tied the knot in 2014. Following this, they went on to welcome two daughters.
The actress even spoke about their relationship during her concerts. At one point, she joked about how she managed to frame her husband.

The couple filed for divorce
The news of Ali and Justin’s divorce shocked many. Confirming to People, a representative for Ali confirmed that the decision was mutual.
“It’s amicable and they will continue to co-parent with love,” the rep said. As of now, neither Ali nor Justin has released an official statement so far.
