How to update your LinkedIn profile
1. Complete your profile
It might seem like the most obvious step, but you’d be surprised how many people don’t realize the importance of having a complete profile. The more informative your page, the better your chances of being noticed by potential recruiters. âAn incomplete profile is a big red flag,â says Dua, âLinkedIn has a very structured approach. It has sections for everything from stating your degrees to correctly mapping your job changes to recommendations from your peers and elders. I’m not saying everything should be completely filled to the brim, but every section should at least have some information. “

But you can change this to make your profile stand out. Recruiters browse many profiles when looking for a candidate. By having a descriptive title, you can get their attention more effectively. 4. Connect with people
Having lots of (relevant) connections makes you more visible to people. Dua agrees, adding, âThe connections are there to help you build a network of industry professionals who can help you grow, and you can help too. LinkedIn’s algorithm suggests connections with you based on connections you’ve already made, so it’s best to connect with people who can relate to the content you post and who have content you can also relate to. identify.
