LinkedIn shares new list of the most popular LinkedIn learning courses of 2020

Amid COVID-19 lockdowns across the globe, remote working has become a key focus, with millions of professionals finding new ways to maintain focus and productivity outside of the office environment.

And that, logically, has led many people to seek advice and guidance to help them maximize their efforts for the WFH. This goal is reflected in LinkedIn’s list of Most Popular LinkedIn Learning Courses of 2020, with two of the top three courses directly related to remote work.

As explained by LinkedIn:

The pandemic changed the way we work, live, socialize – everything – and these best courses show people have spent time learning how to be more productive from a distance, create work / life balance, and connect with teams virtual. ”

As shown in the video, oover 3 million people have taken the top 20 LinkedIn Learning courses this year, which highlight several key areas of interest including remote working, project management, personal branding and the old classic, maximizing the use of ‘Excel (mastering pivot tables is always an accomplishment).

LinkedIn also notes that there has been a greater concentration on themotional intelligence and effective listening in 2020, which is likely linked to the larger #BlackLivesMatter movement, and having more empathy and understanding for all of your colleagues and business partners.

Also note the emphasis on programming, more and more in demand:

The proportion of total job listings seeking professionals with Python skills is up 29% year over year. ”

The full list provides interesting context in today’s business environment, which is likely to undergo a significant change as we seek to move beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
